Batu Arang
A Small village, approximatly fourty-five minutes drive from north of Kuala Lumpur, Batu Arang (“the black diamond”) was once a coal mining town. But now, only the name of the place reminds of its past activity. Located in the valley surronded by forest, you will have to travel the meandering road, or nicknamed "monkey road" (due to the hundred of monkeys seen along this road) to reach this place, and shall discover a village where many races and cultures are mix, as seen in Malaysia : a Hindu temple, a white house built in front of small Chinese temple, a church … and finally our shelter.
